Bishop Adesola Joshua Alaba Olubadejo was born about 6 decades ago into the family of Late High Chief Matthew Ogunbadejo and Late Madam Aminat Ogunbadejo of Anahun’s Compound, Emure- Ile, Owo Local Government in the Western region of Nigeria which is currently Ondo State. He attended St. Peters C.A.C Primary School, Owo and later proceeded to New Church Grammar School, Iselu Owo.
He could not continue his education due to financial constraint. Due to his quest, zeal and determination for education, he embarked on home lesson which enabled him to sit for G.C.E. O’Level and passed out with good grades while still undergoing 4 years’ apprenticeship for both Theoretical and Practical Electrical workshop in Arco Electrics Company, a reputable company.
He was among those electrical technicians who worked during the construction of Adamashingba Stadium, Ibadan now known as Lekan Salami Stadium between 1977-1981 under Arco Electrics. He also worked between the same period in the Polytechnic Ibadan’s Library. He also joined other experts to do the electrification of the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan. He had Grade 3 and Grade 2 Trade test in Ibadan & Abeokuta respectively between 1977-1981.
He worked as Technical Operator at the National Cereals Institution between 1981-1984 from where he retired voluntary because of the call of God upon his life.
He was miraculously converted in the month of July, 1981 by 2P.M while working at the Federal Government College, Ode- Ogbolu, Ogun State. He had revelation of heaven & hell where Jesus told him that he has been delivered and should also endeavor to deliver others. In his journey to heaven and hell, he surrendered his will to the Lord and agreed to do his heavenly assignment. From then onward, his life was ignited with the fire of the Holy Spirit, he did travel from Ode-Ogbolu to Ikennne three times every week for Bible studies.
After leaving Ode-Ogbolu, Ogun State to Ibadan. He was supernaturally directed to Assemblies of God Church, Dogo Bus Stop, Apata, Ibadan. In his quest for the knowledge of God, he started learning everything he could lay his hand upon that would make him grow and have deep knowledge in the things of God. He was baptized by Rev. G. M. Idogo and later received The Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Through the Supernatural leading of the Lord, he went to a place called Gbekuba via Apata, Ibadan, where he started a fellowship for soul winners with counseled from God’s servant and his father in The Lord, Rev. Samuel Adegbite from where he yielded to the call of God and went to South Western School of Theology, Iperu, Ogun State between January 1984-1986. He performed excellently and led all others Students with records of ‘A’ straight (best student of his set) and got on the Dean’s list with a prestigious award for leading the whole
school. He graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Art in a Nigeria University affiliated with an American University in the year 1995. He finished the Theology proper in the year 2008. In January, 2012; he was offered an Admission into Faith International Theological School in Sareville, New Jersey, U.S.A where he studied Biblical Theology. He had also attended many seminars under great ministers of the gospel all over the world. Examples includes: Morris Carullo, Benny Hinn, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo in London, Bishop Oyedepo, Archbishop Idahosa, Pastor W. F Kumuyi, Pastor E. A Adeboye, Bishop Wale Oke to mention a few.
In the year 2006, he was under Bishop David Oyedepo for WOFBI Special where he was specially anointed and prayed for by Bishop David Oyedepo. Up till today, REV. Olubadejo is still a student of God’s word.
Rev. Adesola Olubadejo is a happy man with a happy marriage. He married his heartthrob, Miss Akintola Ruth Modupe now Rev. Mrs. Modupe Olubadejo in September 2, 1989.
He was Proclaimed by His Eminence Arch Bishop Emmanuel Ojo Powerson as a Bishop Elect in the year 2012 but waited until year 2021 before he finally agreed to be pre-consecrated and Proclaimed as Bishop by Global Congress of Bishop and Apostles (GCBA) under His Eminence, Supreme Arch Bishop Emmanuel Ojo Powerson on Saturday 23rd January, 2021 at the National Headquarters of Global Congress of Bishop and Apostle (GBCA), at Ibadan. He was consecrated as a Bishop on Saturday 8th May, 2021.
