BISHOP (DR) J.A.B OMIGADE
Bishop Prophet (Dr) Johnson Alani Bankole Omigade ( JP) was born on the 26th August, 1949 in Abeokuta, Ogun State into the family of Late Mr. and Mrs.
Omigade as the third of four children of his mother and hails from Apena Omigade’s compound in Abeokuta, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State.
Bishop Prophet Omigade had his Primary Education at Christ African Primary School, Abeokuta, Ogun State between 1957 – 1964, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. He proceeded to the Nigerian Army Depot, Abeokuta Ogun State as a soldier in 1969. He worked between that period till 1970, with third marine commando ( Black Scorpion) Nigerian Army Infantry Division as the command Eastern Region under the Command of Benjamin Adekunle ( Now Late) and General Olusegun Obasanjo as the GOC 3rd Marine Commando. As a military officer between 1970 – 1973, Bishop Prophet (Dr) Omigade furthered his educational pursuit to Holy Ghost Commercial College ABA, now Abia State.
During that period, he took a correspondence course in General Science with
School of Career Lagos between 1974 – 1975 to study communication at Apapa Nigeria Army Signal training School and was issued a certificate by Yeoman ( Britain).
Bishop Omigade was transferred to Engineering construction Regiments, Nigerian Army Engineers (ECR), Ede after the Nigerian civil war. He worked as a lecturer in School of combatant in Ede before his appointment as the Superintendent of signals in 1976 with N.A.E Engineering construction Regiments, Ede.
Having obtained all these educational records, Bishop (Dr) JAB Omigade (JP) never relented; he furthered his studies at the school of Arable Farming and poultry Husbandry Rehabitation center, Iseyin between 1978 – 1979 and was issued a certificate.
Bishop Omigade met his lovely wife, Rev.( Mrs) V.O Omigade nee Oni of Igbara Oke town of Ondo State after the Nigerian civil war and their union is blessed with children and grandchildren. Bishop Omigade and his wife then started knowing who Jesus is from CAC in ABA in 1974. When the language used in conducting the service was not understood, they both left for the Church of the Lord (Aladura), where he, Bishop Omigade was given a prophecy of becoming a strong and powerful prophet by Prophet Arochukwu in ABA.
The Bishop and his wife were baptized in the Church of the Lord (Aladura) after their arrival in Ede in 1976. He and his wife attended series of training in Ogere Remo and Anthony village, Lagos and became rooted in the Organization.
Between 1976 – 1978, Bishop Omigade was appointed as the prayer band leader of the Church of the Lord, Ede. They both left for the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim, where they were ordained Prophet and Prophetess, Special Apostle, Superintendent Apostle and Apostolic Mother respectively. In addition, Bishop Omigade was immediately appointed as the financial Secretary for the Unification of the Cherubim and Seraphim for Osun State. He studied Theology at the Crenshaw Christian Centre, Los Angeles, USA between 1981 – 1984 and obtained Bachelor of Arts (BA) .
While at the theological School, he was appointed the Pastor of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Osogbo till 1983.
During his service to the country and humanity, Bishop Prophet (Dr) JAB Omigade had a call to serve the Lord and establish his own ministry and also to devote more time for Him. He finally assented to the call in 1983 and founded the Divine Church Evangelistic Ministries Int’l (DICEMI). He was awarded a Doctoral Degree in Divinity by the Brandley University, U S A in 1995, he was also awarded Justice of Peace (JP) honour in 1996 by the Osun State Ministry of Justice.
Bishop (Dr) Omigade had served under numerous educational and religious committees: Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) Osun State between 1994 and 1996, PTA Chairman of School of Science, Imesi Ile between 1996 and 2001, BSN, Ogo Oluwa Auxiliary, Osogbo between 1996 and 2006.
Bishop Omigade received Jerusalem Pilgrimage (JP) honour in 2016 after his return from Israel.
He is the founder of “Rise up and walk” a program on OSBC Television and Radio till date.
His hobbies include: playing basketball, listening to and sharing life experiences and exploring his communication skills.
