Peter Oluwasegun, an itinerant evangelist born into the Christian family of Pa Julius and Deaconess Esther Mopelola Owaniyi of Olowa’s compound, Ara, Osun State on 9th March, 1979. The young Peter was at A.U.D Primary School, Okeigbo, Ondo State between 1984 and 1990 for his primary education. He proceeded to Oloroke Grammar School, Okeigbo, Ondo State for his secondary education between 1991 and 1996. He also attended Ifetedo Grammar School, Ifetedo, Osun State and Ondo Anglican Grammar School, Ondo, Ondo State in the year 1998 and 2001 respectively to complete his SSCE Results. He gained admission into Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Ondo State in the year 2001 to study Biology
Education, a degree programme of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Osun State.
Oluwasegun got born again on 30th March, 1998 and was baptized by water immersion on 13th July, 1998. He came into evangelical ministry as drama minister in the year 2000. He pioneered his first evangelical group in the year 2001 which later metamorphosed into a full-fledged ministry in the year 2003 with the name: LORDCEPHAS MINISTRIES, NIGERIA.
As an ardent reader, he underwent several correspondent Bible courses from overseas Countries such as World Bible School, USA; SOON Bible Couse, England; Blythewood Ministries, London. He attended the prestigious Living Faith Bible College, an affiliate of International School of Ministries and Vision University, USA between 2013 and 2014 where he obtained Diploma Certificate in Theology and later proceeded for his Advanced Diploma in Theology in the year 2019 and also bagged his Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry in the year 2021 from the same College.
Owaniyi Peter Oluwasegun is a versatile man of God. He is the set man for Triumphant Life Gospel Church Nigeria headquarters in Okinni, Osun State, Nigeria. (The Church Arm of Triumphant Life Gospel Mission- Registered under Corporate Affairs Commission: CAC/IT6907493). His pastoral experience is over a decade now. He has held many leadership positions both in Secular and Christian circles. He is the current Youth Wing Province Coordinator, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Egbedore Province, Osun State. As a radio presenter, he is dynamic and seasoned in his popular Lori Apata Yii radio programme.
He is prolific writer and guest writer to several Christian journals and magazines. His books include: You can live to be a Champion, Short Note on Baptism, Homiletics: Practical Approach to Sermon Preparation and Delivery, Ministerial Ethics, Seven Apostolic Teachings, and 12 Evangelical Lessons.
He is a lecturer at Living Faith Bible College, Osogbo, Osun State. He teaches Homiletics and Ministerial ethics. He has since 2013 joined the Teaching service of Osun State, he teaches Biology and other related subjects.
His ordination trends since 2001 as Drama Evangelist by Jesus the Rock Drama Ministry, Okeigbo, Ondo State; as Itinerary Evangelist (2006), and later as Pioneering Pastor by LordCephas Ministries, Nigeria (2011), as Pastor/Evangelist (2014) by Living Faith Bible Ministries, Osogbo, Osun State, as Reverend (2019) by the same ministry. He pioneered World-Wide Apostolic Clergy Commission (WACCOM), Nigeria in the year 2020.
He is groomed as rural evangelist, his agility to cope with any environmental changes has really contributed to his outstanding record in rural evangelism. He is a member of Bishop Adebayo Gospel Outreach based in Osogbo, Osun State. Owaniyi Peter Oluwasegun is indeed a vessel of God in this generation. He is the visioneer of Nigerian Apostolic Fellowship of Itinerant Evangelists (NAFIES) since 2019. He is the Director of a mobile Training Bible School called Apostle Peter School of Ministries which sole aim is to grow the word of God and harvest souls. The training programme is tagged WORD-HARVEST. Since 2013, he leads Triumphant Healing crusade which is always open-air crusade. He is always on the move to conduct bible–based prayer meetings.
He received his first-ever Meritorious Award presented by Joshua Awotunde Movement in the year 2020 and also in the same year Award of Excellence presented by Living faith Bible College.
He has a blissful home together with his heartthrob, Becky Omolola. They are both senior pastors at Triumphant Life Gospel Church Nigeria. The union has produced godly offspring.
Reverend Owaniyi Peter Oluwasegun received the Award of Honourary Doctor of Divinity, which was conferred on him by Christian University of Africa, (Headquarters in Ghana) on 2nd December, 2022. His candidacy as Apostle-Elect was approved by Living Faith Global College of Bishops and Apostles on 24th August, 2023.
